Dogs: The Great Companions

30 Happy Days Challenge - Day 19: your favorite pet, past or present.

I've had birds, hamsters, fish, cats, dogs. I loved them all and I still do. Right now I have one dog named Misiu and two parakeets named Violet and Sky. Among them, my dog Misiu (Me-shoe) is my favorite. I've experienced things with him mostly. I had dogs and cats when I was a child in Poland, but I never really experienced a lot of things with them because of the short amount of time I was with them (I came to the U.S. when I was five. My aunt and uncle later took care of them. I wish I could have taken my dogs and cats to America :( ).

I remember the day I first met Misiu. He was a tiny, cute Pomeranian puppy that couldn't walk yet. He was a little bit smaller than my hand! The moment I first held him I knew he was the one for me.

A month later, my mom went to go pick him up by car while I was in school. When classes were done, my mom came with Misiu to pick me up. I held him the whole ride home. He was this tiny, energetic FURBALL! So adorable and soft!

Misiu is a special kind of dog. You may think that he is aggressive because he is from a toy dog breed. However, that's not true about Misiu. He never bit anyone, he is nice, he is loyal, fun to play with, etc. When someone really does bother him though, he goes to his own little bed.

Whenever I come home, he always wags his tail and greets me. That's always wonderful to see. He always brightens my day.

He likes it when I rub his belly lol. (Ugh the look he gives xD):

This was a couple of days after Misiu had a bad haircut. He was sleepy in the pic:

Another great dog is my sister's dog Azor. He is a boston terrier. He is like a watchdog and a protector. He follows me and other family members Everywhere. He is mostly around my niece Oliwia. There are a lot of pictures of Oliwia where Azor is in the background or foreground.

When Oliwia was a baby, Azor liked to play with her. He played with caution though. It's like he didn't want to hurt her.

Also when someone is upset, I feel like he senses it.

Sometimes I think dogs shouldn't be called "pets". Dogs should be considered as companions. They are not toys that you can just throw around. They are living things. They are always there for people. They also need people just like people need them.

Today happens to be Friday so I end this post with this picture of Azor:
