90's and Early 2000's - Greatest Era for Cartoons and Favorite Cartoons

30 Happy Days Challenge - Day 25: your favorite cartoon.

The 90's through the early 2000's was perhaps the greatest era for cartoons. The cartoons showed interesting story lines and were humorous in many ways, unlike today where some cartoons are too educational, repetitive, and bland.

Call me biased or whatever since I was born in the early 90's, but this was the era where kids were actually excited to wake up on Saturday mornings.

My top favorite 90's - early 2000's cartoons were Powerpuff Girls, Teen Titans, the Fairly Oddparents, and Arthur.

Powerpuff Girls-My favorite character was Bubbles because all of the girls in my 3rd grade class liked her. I know that is a stupid reason to like a character but that's how things were I guess. Tried to fit in. This didn't necessarily mean that I forced myself to like the show though. I really did like it. Not only did the students and I liked the show, the teachers liked it too. I remember three of my teachers dressed up as Bubbles, Buttercup, and Blossom for Halloween.

Teen Titans - I think I will never forget the theme song! I always jammed to it when it went on. All of the characters were funny in their own way. Raven was my favorite character. Although she was very timid and dark, she was also very clever and hilarious. Her laidback personality and her short comments were good enough to make me laugh.

Arthur- "Having fun isn't hard when you've got a library card!" Oh yeah. I liked how each character was different and how each came from a different background. Muffy was from the rich class. Francine was from the working class. Arthur's parents were together. Buster's parents were divorced..etc. I liked that despite their differences, they were all still friends.

The Fairly Oddparents- All of the characters were funny. Cosmo was a funny idiot. Wanda was smart. Timmy's dad was clumsy....

I heard that some people didn't like this show because it showed characters getting hurt blah blah blah. It was usually the overreacting parents that didn't like the show. Okay, yeah there were some bad messages, but in the end Timmy always learned from his mistakes. Also, past generations or parents grew up watching old Tom and Jerry, Looney Tunes, and Disney cartoons. I think those cartoons were much more violent than the Fairly Oddparents. Kind of ironic.

Watching violent cartoons.. Did they make me a bad person and criminal? Um no.

I was sometimes taught by family and school what was wrong and right in life so I kind of already had an idea of what was bad and good in the cartoons.

Woah I didn't expect this to turn into a mini rant haha.

Anywaysss..

What is your favorite cartoon(s) and why?
